I’m Maia, an illustrator and designer focused on creating meaningful, beautiful images for everyday use. My work merges fine art and design, appearing in print, textiles, and products that people interact with daily. Faith, nature, and symbolic clarity shape my practice as I strive to create illustrations that uplift and inspire.
I hold an MA in Illustration from MICA (Baltimore) and a BFA in Theater Arts from USAL (Buenos Aires). My background in set design, fine arts, and graphic design taught me to work with a wide range of materials—oil, watercolor, printmaking, textiles, and digital media. Today my illustrations are mostly digital, a medium that fits the rhythm of motherhood, though my love for handmade processes still shapes the way I think and draw.
My clients include Scholastic, The Marshall Project, Washington City Paper, American Philanthropic, Casa Carmen, The Wine Collective, Disney Latin America, Molinos Río de la Plata, the National Ministry of Education of Argentina, Mater Dei Hospital.
Born in Argentina, I now live in the countryside of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, with my husband and three kids, creating from my studio next to our house.

Hola, this is me behind the scenes.
